They cooked their way to success on the series My Kitchen Rules.
And for Steve Flood and Will Stewart, they were more than happy to share some of their own tips and tricks with guests on Saturday at Peter’s of Kensington.
The pair – who were announced the winners of the Channel 7 cooking series at the start of last month – appeared in the Sydney store for a pop up demo.
The pair both wore jeans and matching black chef jackets, that featured their new logo for ‘The Gourmet Pommies.’
Looking thrilled with the turnout, the pair made sure to keep their more than 8,000 Instagram followers on their combined account up-to-date with their adventures.
‘What an amazing day,’ the pair wrote. ‘For entree we served…Scallops w/Purple Carrot Puree, Asparagus & Raspberry #nomnom. The crowd loved it.
‘To the magical people who came from far and wide to give up 3 hours of their Saturday to see us in our first live kitchen demo…we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We loved every minute of it and we hope you did too,’ part of their post read.
Uploading another shot to their joint account, they wrote: ‘Pre-match tradition…a cup of tea!! This is a dream kitchen to cook in. We’re are almost ready to go,’ part of their post read.
Guests at the end where also given a recipe pack to try at home.
On Friday, the pair announced their plans for merchandise with their fans.
They captioned a picture of themselves on Instagram: ‘The Gourmet Pommies have merchandise yeeeewww. It’ll be available soon everywhere we host, cook, demo and chef,’ part of it read.
Flood has also made headlines recently, not just for his cooking skills but also his love life.
He is currently dating blogger Caroline Groth, and previously told Daily Mail Australia after the win about having introduced his girl to his mum and dad, revealing ‘everyone got on.’
‘It was nice to celebrate with the people in my life who are special to… It was just an incredible occasion,’ he said at the time.
